WOV Object 03: “Hearth”
Hearth is a quiet sculpture built for burn and return. Designed to hold both incense cones and sticks, its form—a horizontal cylinder lifted by two rounded feet—feels deliberate but unfussy. A flat surface rests atop for cone placement, while a small carved hole allows the occasional incense stick to join the ritual.
This vessel recalls the elemental nature of a hearth: a place to gather, to center, to witness something slow unfold. Handmade by Stover Ceramics, Hearth serves as both tool and totem, inviting repeated use without losing its presence as a sculptural form.
It offers a space to burn what grounds you. And when it’s not in use, it simply remains—still warm with memory.
